Complexes of a new type, the cage compounds (1) , n = 4, 5, 6, are formed at room temperature from annelated selenadiazoles with Fe 2 (CO) 9 . On heating, the complexes (1) are transformed into known complexes with two Fe(CO) 3 ligands.
