Novel “non‐cyclic trinuclear clusters” (1) — (3) arise alongside other products on reaction of the thiolates Pb(SR) 2 or the selenol HSeC 6 H 5 with η 7 ‐C 7 H 7 W(CO) 2 I. The unusual molecular structure has been confirmed in (2) by X‐ray methods.
