The bonding in anion (2) could be elucidated by 1 H‐NMR spectroscopy. Compound (2) , whose central ring contains 10π electrons is to be regarded essentially as a conventional system, in which the negative charge is located primarily on the allyl unit. The heterocycle in (2) is presumably bent.
