PhPCRPPhPPhCRPPh, RNPhSiMe 3 , exhibits degenerate Cope rearrangement and configurational isomerism. The clear analogy between the reactions of this methylene phosphane and corresponding alkenes shows that the PC bond of this compound hardly has the ylidic character of methylene phosphoranes .
