A “synthon” suitable for a copper‐ and sulfurcontaining compound with a cubane skeleton is the “ready‐made corner” OWS   3 2− . Reaction of Cs 2 WOS 3 with CuCL 2 and PPh 3 expectedly (preferred formation of CuS as aginst CuO bonds) gives comples (1) . Cu‐bane‐type structure containing Cu and S were formerly unknown.
