Three linearly arranged nickel atoms and two coordinatively unsaturated Li and two pentacoordinated C atoms present in the new complex (2) (C 12 H 18 = all‐cis ‐1,5,9‐cyclododecatriene). Compound (2) , formed as by‐product in the lithiation of C 11 H 18 Ni 0 , was obtained from (1) in 30% yield.
