The shape of the (SN) 2 ring is highly dependent upon the ligands: the ring is nonplanar in (1) but planar in (2) . Compound (1) is obtained from (Me 3 CN) 3 S and C 2 F 5 NCO, and (2) from (Me 3 SiN) 3 S and i ‐C 3 F 7 NSO.
