The P atoms of the P 3 ring in the complex (triphos)Co(δ‐P 3 ) still possess donor properties. Hence the complex can react with Cr(CO) 6 in the molar ratio 1:1 or 1:2 to give a di‐or trinuclear complex (1) . The original “donor complex” with a CoP 6 skeleton remains almost unchanged on bonding to the Cr(Co) 5 groups.
