Nickel( 0 )‐catalyzed reaction of allyl acetate with phenylhydrazones (1) in THF leads to useful yields of C ‐substituted products (2) . Variation of the ligands in L 4 Ni, the solvent, and/or the metal provides a means of accomplishing N ‐substitution instead of C ‐substitution.
