2 Million tonnes of cyclo ‐S 7 exist in equilibrium in the 30 million tonnes of liquid sulfur produced annually throughout the world. It is now possible to extract cyclo ‐S 7 from quenched melts on a preparative scale, thus making the species readily accessible.
