The tin compound ( t Bu 2 P) 2 Sn , which is analogous to a carbene, is the first stannylene to be substituted only by R 2 P groups and also the first kinetically stable P—Sn ylide. Dimers (1) are present in benzene (red solution) (R t Bu).
