The selective cleavage of the Mn(μ‐CO) 2 Co bridging fragment in complex (1) is the first one of its kind. With L = PMe 3 or C 2 Ph 2 the Mn compound MeC 5 H 4 Mn(CO) 3 is obtained in either case, together with the Co compound C 5 H 5 Co(PMe 3 ) 2 or C 5 H 5 Co(PMe 3 )(C 2 Ph 2 ).
