The first unsymmetrical “mixed‐valence” complexes with π acids as ligands have now been prepared. Paramagentic (η 3 ‐C 7 H 7 )(CO) 2 ‐Mo(OCH 3 ) 3 Mo(η 7 ‐C 7 H 7 ) was identified by X‐ray structure analysis; the unpaired electron is localized at an Mo center.
