Rigid chiral hydrocarbons such as (1) and (2) are of interest as test cases for chiroptical theories. (−)‐Trishomocubane (1) and (+)‐trishomocubane (2) , which have now been obtained enantiomerically pure, are apparently the smallest stable organic molecules of point symmetry D 3 .
