An understanding of the physical and chemical phenomena and the structure of salt melts calls not only for kinetic and spectroscopic data but also for systematic studies on the equilibrium and transport properties of individual systems. The present article deals with the activity coefficients, transport numbers, and self‐diffusion and interdiffusion coefficients of salt melts, and the results of consistent measurements of these quantities are reported.
