The oxidation was carried out at room temperature with silver salts in dimethylformamide and with tetrahalogenomethanes, cyanogen halides, or halogens in dichloromethane. The salts (31, whose structure has been established by elemental analysis, molecular-weight determinations and 1H-NMR spectra [(3b) in liquid Son: H, = singlet at 7 = 5.03, Hp = singlet at T = 5.671 are obtained in good yields.
