Wasserstoff‐Abstraktion im Rampenlicht : UV‐Bestrahlung (365 nm) von zweikernigem Rutheniumtetrahydrid, [(Cp*Ru)(μ‐H) 4 (RuCp*)] (Cp*=η 5 ‐C 5 Me 5 ), in einem 2‐Alkanon wie Aceton oder 2‐Butanon führt zur Wasserstoff‐Abstraktion in den α‐ und α′‐Positionen zur Carbonylgruppe. Es entstehen zweikernige Oxatrimethylenmethan‐Komplexe, [(Cp*Ru)(μ‐η 3 :η 1 ‐CH 2 COCHR)(μ‐H) 2 (RuCp*)] (R=H und CH 3 ).
