Eine rekombinante Protein‐A‐Variante (grün) wurde von F. Porta, D. Prosperi et al. in ihrer Zuschrift auf S. 9406 ff. als Templat bei der Synthese sphärischer Goldnanopartikel (rot) genutzt. Zugleich wurden monoklonale Antikörper (blau) auf der Oberfläche der Nanopartikel in einer Orientierung immobilisiert, die für die Erkennung durch spezifische Zellrezeptoren optimal ist.
