Sowohl geladene als auch neutrale Produkte einer elektrophilen C‐H‐Aktivierung wurden experimentell in der Gasphase nachgewiesen. Das HO 2 . ‐Radikal entsteht in einem Prozess, an dem das prototypische sauerstoffzentrierte Radikalkation O 2 .+ und das Methanderivat CH 2 F 2 beteiligt sind.
