Form und Funktion : Eine einfache Synthese führt über eine Reduktion in wässriger Lösung zu konkaven Pt‐Nanowürfeln (siehe Bild) mit hochindizierten Flächen wie {510}, {720} und {830}. Die elektrokatalytische Aktivität der Nanokristalle (bezogen auf die Oberfläche) in der Sauerstoffreduktion ist 3.5‐mal höher als die eines Pt/C‐Katalysators.
