Eine einfache Oxidationsstrategie lieferte den ersten Carbenkomplex von fünfwertigem Uran ( 2 ). Dank der ähnlichen Strukturen von 1 und 2 konnten auch erstmals die Unterschiede im Doppelbindungsverhalten bei der Oxidation von U IV zu U V untersucht werden.
