Einen ganz einfachen Weg zu Metallnanokristallen eröffnet die Verwendung von Kohlenmonoxid als Reduktionsmittel. Hoch monodisperse Platin‐Nanowürfel, sphärische Palladium‐Nanokristalle und ultradünne Gold‐Nanodrähte können innerhalb von 15 Minuten erzeugt werden.
