Metallaustausch : Das Alkali‐Schichtsilicat Magadiit vermag durch Ionenaustausch Zn 2+ aus Meerwasser selbst in Gegenwart von Cd 2+ anzureichern. Zwischen den Schichten eingelagertes Na + wird in Elektrolytmischungen fast quantitativ gegen Zn 2+ ausgetauscht (siehe Bild).
