Enantiomerenangereicherte 3‐Methyl‐1,4‐enine sind das Produkt der Titelreaktion. Terminale α‐Siloxy‐ sec ‐alkyl‐Gruppen lassen sich dann durch eine rhodiumkatalysierte konjugierte Addition an α,β‐ungesättigte Ketone unter Bruch der Alkinyl‐C‐C‐Bindung in γ‐Oxoalkyl‐Gruppen überführen.
