Geschickt eingefädelt : Oxidative intramolekulare Kupplungen von α,ω‐Diinen in Gegenwart von Kupfer(I)‐Komplexen makrocyclischer Phenanthrolinderivate führen in Ausbeuten bis 64 % zu [2]Catenanen (siehe Schema). Die Bindungsknüpfung geht mit dem Einfädeln des Diins in den Phenanthrolinmakrocyclus einher.
