Abstract Eine späte Zwischenstufe : Der Nichthäm‐Eisen(IV)‐Oxo‐Komplex [Fe IV (O)(bqen)(L)] n + (bqen= N , N ′‐Dimethyl‐ N , N ′‐bis(8‐chinolyl)ethan‐1,2‐diamin, L=CH 3 CN oder CF 3 SO 3 − ) aktiviert die C‐H‐Bindungen von Alkanen und Alkoholen durch Wasserstoffatomabstraktion. Die katalytische Oxidation dieser Spezies soll durch eine bei Oxidationsreaktionen hoch aktive Nichthäm‐Eisen(V)‐Oxo‐Spezies erfolgen (siehe Bild).
