Null, eins oder drei? Die Rolle von Au 0 ‐, Au I ‐ und Au III ‐Zentren im Heterogenkatalysator Au/CeO 2 wurde anhand der kupferfreien Sonogashira‐Kreuzkupplung von Iodbenzol und Phenylacetylen untersucht (siehe Bild). Heterogen‐ und homogenkatalytische Reaktionen mit definierten Au 0 ‐, Au I ‐ und Au III ‐Verbindungen entlarvten Au I als aktive Spezies bei der Kreuzkupplung.
