C‐substituierte zwitterionische 6π+6π‐Benzochinonmonoimine entstehen in einer C‐C‐Bindungsbildungsreaktion. Die selektive, formale Insertion von Tetracyanethylen (TCNE) oder 7,7′,8,8′‐Tetracyanchinodimethan (TCNQ) in eine C‐H‐Bindung eines chinonoiden Rings bietet eine neue, allgemeine Synthesemethode in der Chinonoidchemie.
