Alt raus, Neu rein : Heck‐Kupplungen machten die neuartigen 1,8‐Naphthyridin‐C‐Nucleoside Na‐N O und Na‐O N (siehe Formeln) zugänglich. Oligodesoxynucleotide, die die Na‐N O ‐ und Na‐O N ‐Nucleoside enthielten, bildeten mithilfe der Basenpaarungsmotive Na‐N O :Im‐O N und Na‐O N :Im‐N O äußerst stabile Duplexe.
