Eine bemerkenswerte Photolumineszenzverstärkung wird bei der Intercalation von Cetyltrimethylammonium‐Kationen (CTA + ) zwischen die aromatischen Gruppen auf der Oberfläche eines Komplexes aus dem phenylüberdachten Halbleiter‐CdS‐Clustermolekül [Cd 10 S 4 (SPh) 12 ] ( 1 ) und Tetraoctylammoniumbromid (TOAB) beobachtet (siehe Schema).
