Photoempfindliche selbstorganisierte Monoschichten (self‐assembled monolayers, SAMs): Die erste durch Bestrahlung ausgelöste Umwandlung eines redoxaktiven molekularen Films gelang durch photochemische Anregung eines Ru 3 ‐Clusters mit CO‐Liganden auf einer Au(111)‐Elektrode. Dissoziation von CO führt sauber zu einer H 2 O‐terminierten SAM (siehe Bild).
