Radikalische Methoden : Die Reaktion von [Ni 2 (OH) 2 (Me 2 ‐tpa) 2 ] 2+ mit H 2 O 2 resultierte in der Peroxidierung einer Methylgruppe des Me 2 ‐tpa‐Liganden. Der im Bild gezeigte Bis(μ‐alkylperoxo)dinickel( II )‐Komplex tritt als Intermediat bei der Oxidation zu den Carboxylato‐ und Alkoxo‐Komplexen [Ni(Me 1 ‐tpa‐COO)] + bzw. [Ni 2 (Me 1 ‐tpa‐CH 2 O) 2 ] 2+ auf. Me 2 ‐tpa=Bis[(6‐methyl‐2‐pyridyl)methyl][(2‐pyridyl)methyl]amin.
