Die kubische Struktur von Cubylamin ( 1 NH 2 ) bleibt bei Protonierung in wässriger Lösung erhalten. In der Gasphase hingegen führt irreversible Protonierung des Kohlenstoffgerüsts von 1 NH 2 unter Ringöffnung zur Bildung von Iminiumionen (siehe Schema).
