Communication: The title compound (see Figure) is a new, easily accessible π‐conjugated viologen polymer . Properties of particular interest are its conductivity of 1 × 10 −3 S cm −1 and electroactivity in the potential region from −0.1 to −0.6 V vs. Ag/AgCl.
