Die Biosynthese des Abstreifungshormons Ethylen aus methionin über Aminocyclopropancarbonsäure wird durch 1 inhibiert. 1 bildet in Gegenwart von Apfel‐Fruchtfleisch über Radikale 1,4‐pentadien 2 ; daneben finder auch noch eine Inaktivierung des Biosytheseapparats statt.
