Der Zerfall von Kohlenstoffsuboxid in Gegenwart von zwei Rhodium(I)‐Komplexen führt zu CO und C 2 O. Mit (PPh 3 ) 3 RhCl entsteht (1) und polymeres C 2 O, mit [(C 8 H 14 ) 2 RhCl] 2 das polymere (2) und Cycloocten. Pyridin kann die Cl‐Brücken in (2) lösen; es bildet sich ein Dimer.
