Das als praktisch inert geltende Anion PF 6 ‐ kann durch Solvolyse in Difluorophosphat umgewandelt und als Brückenligand in Komplexe des Typs ( 1 ) eingebaut werden. Die Reaktion vollzieht sich in Aceton bei 12stündigem Erwärmen auf 50°C.
