We study the use of expansions in correlated hyperspherical harmonics to calculate the energy of the ground state of a system of three identical spinless bosons, for a model potential. In our model the potential is the sum of a harmonic oscillator and an inverse square repulsion of variable strength. We find excellent convergence.
