Recent experimental determination of the Fermi surface of overdoped La‐based cuprate superconductors established its three‐dimensional character. Within the basal plane, the Fermi surface consists of staggered pieces that alternate in size and shape, which escapes interpretation within the celebrated 2D Hubbard Model. In article number 1900177, Raphaël Photopoulos and Raymond Frésard show that this feature is inherited from the body‐centered tetragonal structure of this family of compounds.
