Auxetic Graphene Graphene sheets with a corrugated conformation are made to exhibit giant auxetic behavior (negative Poisson's ratio) in specific directions. This effect, described by Joseph N. Grima and co‐workers in article number 1700330 , imparted though the use of patterned defects, can be controlled by varying the distance between defects.
