Recursion operators for infinitesimal symmetries for a class of nonlinear equations are obtained with the help of the Wronskian formalism of Calogero et al. Our consideration includes both autonomous and nonautonomous systems. The formalism helps us to obtain the symmetry generators and recursion operator for the coupled system of Boomeson equation which is otherwise quite difficult to obtain.
