Within the framework of the Mach‐Einstein‐doctrine as formulated by T REDER the thermodynamical quantities and the relations between them are derived for a simple N‐particle‐gas in equilibrium by means of a statistical‐mechanical description of the particle system. Because of the induction of inertia for each particle due to the gravitational interaction with all other particles the corresponding equations of state are modified essentially in some cases.
