The polarization of protons from the 9 Be( d , p 1 ) 10 Be x reaction has been analyzed in terms of the DWBA theory at deuteron energies 5.5, 15.0 and 20.5 MeV. Good fits were obtained which show the usefulness of the DWBA theory for describing polarization by using the optimum optical model parameters.
