The transverse momentum distribution of 900 secondary pions produced in interactions of 24 GeV protons with emulsion nuclei is seen to agree fairly well with the H AGEDORN distribution for a ' = 3/2 and b ' adjusted to 133 MeV. A satisfactory fit of F EYNMANS scaling idea is also observed at this incident energy.
