Investigations of the temperature‐ and concentration dependence of the spin‐lattice relaxation time T 1 in ferroelectric GASH (= Guanidinium aluminium sulfate hexahydrate) single crystals doped with Cr 3+ ‐ions are reported. The concentration‐dependence found on the higher concentrated crystals C 0.1% Cr 3+ ) as well as the observed cross‐relaxation are explained in terms of spin‐lattice relaxation via exchange pairs. Using the V AN V LECK formalism T 1 has been estimated for Cr 3+ : GASH by comparision of the present system and K‐Cr‐alum.
