With the aid of an invariance transformation of the Lagrangian we obtain a class of exact static solutions of the Einstein‐Maxwell equations including perfect fluid. Application of the method to the interior and exterior Schwarzschild solution yields a corresponding solution with electromagnetic field (Reissner‐Weyl solution). The boundary conditions of the resulting metric are automatically fulfilled.
