The mutual influence of two laser modes corresponding to two different transitions with the same lower level is investigated experimentally in a HeNe‐d.c.‐laser for the laser transitions 2 s 2 → 2 p 4 and 3 s 2 → 2 p 4 . The results are in agreement with calculations in the frame of semiclassical theory of laser action [2].
