Group isoenergetic transitions are responsible for the formation of an electron layer in one of the overlapping outer bands of transition metals and alloys. The electron transitions corresponding to the parent line and occurring simultaneously with the transition of another electron of the layer into one of the external outer bands give rise to satellites. These are observed in nearly all elements and alloys, pointing to the occurrence of group transitions in them. In refs. an attempt was made to explain the asymmetry of the K α 1,2 ‐lines of 20 Ca to 30 Zn. The investigation of this problem is continued in the present paper.
