Although no therapeutic agent has proved to be of benefit in subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE), the use of Isoprinosine has been associated with clinical improvement in several preliminary reports. Two additional patients with SSPE are presented who had repeated serological and electroencephalographic studies during therapy with Isoprinosine. Their clinical courses are discussed in view of the laboratory findings and the natural history of the disease.
