A confocal fluorescence image of a dorsal root ganglion from a mouse, stained red with an antibody against the P2X3 purine receptor, found on small, pain conducting neurons, and green with IgG from a patient with neuropathic pain. These antibodies, against plexin D1, are associated with burning pain and abnormal pain perception thresholds. See Takayuki et al. (Pages 210–226)
